JADOCAM

The JADOCAM Story

From a small engineering team to thousands of drivers protected on the road every day.

The problem we saw

The dash-cam category has always been split between two extremes: cheap unbranded cameras with no support and no firmware updates, and premium brands that charge European prices for hardware that was, in most cases, designed by the same handful of factories. Honest drivers — the rideshare drivers, the commuters, the families — sat in the middle with no good option.

What we built

JADOCAM was started by a group of automotive electronics engineers who had spent years building in-car video for OEM customers. We knew the bill of materials of a great dash cam, and we knew it didn't have to cost what the premium brands were charging. We built our own factory line, qualified Sony Starvis-class sensors, and committed to a single product family done well: full-screen mirror dash cams with CarPlay and a 2-year warranty.

What we learned

Three lessons shaped every camera we make:

  1. Image quality is non-negotiable. Plates have to be readable. Night-time scenes have to come out usable, not just bright.
  2. Parking monitoring is the feature people actually use. Most footage that matters happens when the car is stopped, not moving. We engineer for low-power parking modes from day one.
  3. Installation has to be doable in a driveway. If our cameras require a professional installer, we've failed the customer.

Where we're going

Our roadmap is focused on three areas: deeper CarPlay integration, AI-assisted incident detection (so the right clip surfaces automatically), and a longer-life rugged camera platform for fleet and commercial drivers. We don't release every new feature on every model — we ship them on the model where they belong.
